In the South of France in the summer time. If you take a drive into the hills and brush and have a good GPS you will find Camping La Beaume where all the action is. There was so much going on here! The place was completely sold out and filled with people having fun. There is an indoor pool, ping pong, a dance hall, bar, and restaurant.
There are different accommodations depending on your budget. You can go from camping all they way up to a large house full of all the comforts. We were staying in the tree house. It has always been a dream of mine to stay in a tree house. We climbed up a stair case to about 3 stories high and came to the patio area with a table and chairs and a hanging lamp. The inside had 3 beds. Two semi-bunk bed style and a larger bed. There was electricity and a fridge and plates and utensils. There was also a bathroom, however, we never used it as it was a complicated dry toilet system and there was a nice public restroom close to the tree house.
We had a great time and it was so much fun staying up in the trees. We ordered a pizza and beer from the restaurant and ate it up on our patio. The baby crawled around and had a great time. The whole place was very baby proof. The patio had a banister and there was thick rope netting all along the patio and a swinging door that locked which blocked the entrance to the stairs. I had no worries at all about the baby playing there because of how secure it was.
We called it a night pretty early and didn’t go out that night because the baby fell asleep. But there was a huge dance party we could have gone to. It must have been some party because the music was very loud and the people sounded like they were having a good time. So if you go, go to have fun and realize that there will be noise. If you are looking for a more tranquil experience you might try getting a space further away from the hang out area.
All in all, so much fun. I definitely recommend the tree house. Book far in advance because there is only one tree house and it is quite popular.
